Prayers - The Living Room Church

Prayers

Full 1
Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances. (1 Thes 5:17-8)
Prayers

Prayer is an important part of our community to encounter God and lift up our burdens to Him.

  • Prayer meeting every Wednesday at 8:30pm
    • Our regular mid-week prayer is held on Wednesday night. There is usually a time of reflection and contemplation followed by a time of intercession with and for one another. All are welcome to be a part of our prayer time together.
    • Prayers of the People

Gracious Father, we thank you for the privilege to meet peacefully in Toronto. We pray for conflicts, violence, and wars happening in this land and around the world. We remember those who live with injustice, terror, disease, and death as their constant companions. We ask that your holy and life-giving Spirit move every human heart so that barriers that divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease so that all may live in justice and peace.

Merciful God, we pray for all leaders as you have directed us to do. With the Toronto mayoral by-election coming up, we ask for the Spirit’s direction to help us discern the candidate you have prepared for this city. We pray for a mayor who understands people’s concerns and is committed to bringing peace, justice, and unity to this city.

Lord Jesus, we thank you for sending your Spirit to be with us and help us. We confess that we don’t always live out all truth with all peace. We pray for the Spirit’s fresh anointing to cleanse us, correct our errors, and direct us to obey your commands.

We remember all who are sick. We bring them before you for healing, comfort, and peace. We also ask you to remind us of the homeless and the destitute, the old, and all who have none to care for them. Help us to be your instruments of love to all you bring as our neighbors.

We asked all these in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
