Thy Will be Done: God’s Kingdom values embodied throughout the world

2026 Year Theme

“We pray because our life comes from God and we yield it back in prayer. Prayer is a great antidote to the illusion that we are self-made.”

-Walter Brueggemann

In a time marked by violence and injustice, we pray with urgency as Jesus taught us: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt 6:10).

Practicing “Thy Will be Done” calls for a spiritual discipline of surrendering our own ambitions to God’s purposes. As we begin 2026, our focus will be on prayer, drawing from the Book of Psalms at the Big Church and the prayers found in the Old Testament in the House Churches.

Current sermon series: Prayer
